I am expecting that many blog entries today (mostly on msdn blogs and weblogs.asp.net) that will announce "ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 Released" And I also expect that another few dozen entries would link to other entries that made the announcement.

    Regards, Nish

The % of those posts that will consist of nothing but a link to a Microsoft page, with maybe a single sentence repeating the post title: "ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 Released".

the last thing I want to see is some pasty-faced geek with skin so pale that it's almost translucent trying to bump parts with a partner - John Simmons / outlaw programmer

The problem is that though Microsoft were initially fussy about it being spelt as .NET, more people got it wrong than those that did it right. In fact ".Net" returns 1.5 billion results on Google where as ".NET" returns a mere 100 million.
