Well, Symantec calls it "Norton Antivirus", but we all know that it itself is a virus. Did you ever try to uninstall it? Can't be done.

Well, you can. On the website of symantec, there is a tutorial about how installing their products proeprly. The first three steps of the tutorial is launching a small executables that removes everything from symantec on your hard drive, so that it is clean for them to be reinstalled (which are point 5 and 6 of the tutorial). Simply launch the executable removing everything and do not reinstall, and you are done. I can't seem to find a link, but it is on the symantec website somewhere.

I should remote-kick you anyway, just for the principles. But it's definitely cool to have Chris point this out  :jig: Only one? So I can't submit Stallshield, Installsh*t, and Shields-me-from-installing as separate entries? :(

Does that mean you don't like my calling you Mr. Chen? :~ If so, I'll just call you Peter. I meant no offense.

Have you tried Sage Accpac[^]? I have seen it in action a couple of times and it is fantastic.

It's not like I chose SAP - it's a company wide tool for all sorts of stuff. I only use it for recording my hours (which then get marked against the budgets for different tasks) - it's bad enough for that. When we used VAX/VMS, I wrote a character mode app. for time booking - it was so much more usable than SAP it's unbelievable.

Relax :) It is of course cool to have some more or less self-chosen antics maintained by others. I'm not only weird, you help me be weird in an almost controllable way. But of course, I'd never admit that publicly

the primary purpose of gtalk is to have voice chat (that is why it is talk) and not text chat and so far i havent seen any other software that gives better voice clarity than gtalk.

May be true, but the interface and those white, cheesy windows just make me sick and I never bothered to try a voice chat using it (well I never do a voice chat anyway, if I feel like talking, I do it over the phone). Google earth is a great piece of software though.

Well using gtalk is very cheap compared to phone when talking to people in other country. If you just look at its purpose and how much memory it consumes, then you would realise that it is doing its job quite correctly, compared to yahoo and msn that consumes memory in the range of 30-40mb.
