I am also, and in that situation, if you told me something about my kid being quiet, I would be terribly ashamed and my reply would have been "I am real sorry, it won't happen again." And if it kept happening I would have left with my kid. That politeness (or rudeness) does not come with the nationality, but from the education you get at home.

Without wanting to start a debate here, how do you know they were illegal? If they are not, they have basically the same rights to American resources as you do. My conclusion here, them being rude on you comes from their own personality and education, and in no way is related to being Mexican. Whether you agree or not with immigration is another thing, but you cannot dislike Mexicans because one was rude to you.

I must disagree there. The first, polite, request is impilcit in being inside a movie theatre. People should not have to ask you this at all, and when they have to ask, they impolite party already has continued with the same undesirable behaviour.

To some extent it's true but to a great extent it's false. Everthing is dependent on the degree. The degree one could stand to another's annoyance, and the degree a person really annoys the other. I think lecky loses nerve very soon. She had mentioned the mexcian was behind her. Why people from both the sides didn't say any thing to them? Why she broke first? So to a great extent it's depenedent on the patience. The annoyance even could've been very little but the still problem brusts, if the neighbour(Leckey) is very Intolerant. But I also agree many people lack etiquette in common place.:sigh:
