revolutionary tools...easy-to-implement...enable...more rapidly. Nooooo! Stop with buzzwords!!! I've heard them for 20 years now!!! Download the pre-release tools and framework to participate directly in product design and development. News flash! Everyone can become a Microsoft employee! Participate directly in product design and development! Low salary (actually no salary) but great benefits--put on your resume that you work for Microsoft! I would be insulted if I weren't laughing and crying and rolling my eyes at the same time. Marc

Hmmm, it seems to me they are in a dilemma. In soccer, if you have too many talented players, you simply trade some of them to lower cost. Best regards, Paul.

Actually, I've had several nibbles from MS. The major issue has been that I won't relocate. An opportunity came along for working offsite, but then I discovered that I would have to sever my relationships with my clients. No moonlighting, even after hours or weekends. With a policy like that, forget it! I haven't invested four years of articles, websites, open source projects, etc., to become a cog in the MS engine. Marc

In terms you can understand, when I see this sort of thing, to me it's probably the equivalent to you as if you saw a post with gay pornographic picture for no apparent reason in the middle of a discussion about .net.

Because I care about this community and have watched it grow for many years and one of it's strengths is it's global nature. Proselytization doesn't belong here, there are many other places that are more appropriate.

I have always wondered where atheists go when they die? With no belief in God there is no belief in heaven or hell. :~ So, does that mean, like in the old joke, that they are all dressed up with no place to go?;P

Because I care about this community and have watched it grow for many years and one of it's strengths is it's global nature. Proselytization doesn't belong here, there are many other places that are more appropriate.

John, This was only a simple response to a "by the way" inquiry. Without your rant it would hardly have been a blip. That you do not like it, is reasonable, but where in you is the source of your strong reaction? Be Well, Claude

That was by no means a "strong" reaction on my personal scale of reactions to prosyletization. ;)
