Petzold writing a VB.NET book?

Hi! I don't think that it was difficult to "translate" his Programming Microsoft Windows with Visual C# to VB.Net - most of the book will be the same. Would be interesting to compare them...:~ Cheers Martin "Situation normal - all fu***d up" Illuminatus!

Exactly. Just as you won't learn C# from his Programming Windows with C# the same thing applies the VB book. Not that the page count is the exact same as the C# book because he'll simply show how to use the same BCL class from VB.NET instead of C#, which will in most cases be a simply 1 to 1 translation. Well a VB.NET programmer might not feel happy with C# code. He'd prefer it if Petzold did the 1:1 translation rather than he himself. So I think the book is justified. I wonder whether they'd let me write Programming Windows with Managed C++ [ a 1:1 translation of the Petzold twin books on C# and VB .NET] ;-);-);-);-);-);-);-) Nish p.s. Maybe also COBOL .NET once I learn it
