Petzold writing a VB.NET book?

Well considering that Charles and I write for the same publisher, I think I'll take a no-comment on that one :) David Wengier wrote: Are you going to write Inside VB.NET (social stigma aside)? Actually, that would be much different as my book is very specific about C# and what the compiler emits in terms of MSIL from your C# source code. Therefore, an Inside VB.NET book would be very different than the Inside C# book. However, I obviously get your point and personally wouldn't write a book if it were a direct translation. Well a VB.NET programmer might not feel happy with C# code. He'd prefer it if Petzold did the 1:1 translation rather than he himself. So I think the book is justified. I wonder whether they'd let me write Programming Windows with Managed C++ [ a 1:1 translation of the Petzold twin books on C# and VB .NET] ;-);-);-);-);-);-);-) Nish p.s. Maybe also COBOL .NET once I learn it

I never said Charles' book isn't justified. I simply said that I wouldn't do it. Cheers, Tom Archer Author - Inside C#, Visual C++.NET Bible Please remember to keep this for tax purposes.

BTW, for several weeks I've been using target="_Paul" on my posts, and it works fine:-D "What is it?" and he said, "I don't know. Let's kill it." - Ed Gadziemski
