any tips to improve the eyesight

This is good for all of us who spend hours a day in front of the computer. I try to remember the optometrists' advice: 20/20/20. Look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.

Laser surgery :D Seriously, I had one 3,5 years ago and my eyesight is better than before with glasses on. Obviously if you don't need glasses in the first place, this advice is of not much help :P.

I find avoiding CRTs helps. I always use TFT displays (the bigger the better) instead.

I don't see how it's possible to improve it, the eye is an organ which degrades with age, all you could presumably do is slow down the process. A developer doesn't need good eyes any more than an accountant or a plumber does.

The muscles used in focussing would probably benefit from relaxation/streches like any other though.

Everyone needs to see, we don't have a monopoly on that. Yoga ? Help yourself, I wouldn't bother, personally.
