            I find avoiding CRTs helps. I always use TFT displays (the bigger the better) instead.

            Yes, The best advice ever! I used 17" CRT for two years and it made my eyes RED by the evening now i use 19" TFT, and again my eyes are red at the evening :D :D :D :D

              I don't see how it's possible to improve it, the eye is an organ which degrades with age, all you could presumably do is slow down the process. A developer doesn't need good eyes any more than an accountant or a plumber does.

              The muscles used in focussing would probably benefit from relaxation/streches like any other though.
