 I heard a similar joke some time ago. The question was: "How much is 2+2?". Physicist's: 3.9999999999 Engineer's: 4.000000 +/- 0.00000002 Logician's*: Define "2" before I can give you an answer. Mathematician: I already got the answer, I'm just seeing if all the proofs are correct. Philosopher's: What does really mean 2+2? Programmer: 100 VB Programmer**: Uh? * Not sure if that word actually exists (my apologies), but it is intended to denote the person that studies logic. ** Alright, alright, I added that one.

I understand that for the english professor, all numbers are odd, but why are they prime to them? ;)

We interviewed some students for software engineering internships last week and one was asked what is the maximum value an 8 bit integer could have. The answer is below... 2!

Can you explain the humor here? At the risk of sounding stupid, I don't get it.:wtf:

3 is a prime 5 is a prime 7 is a prime I have faith that 9 is a prime. The devil has decieved all the evil evolutionists into saying that it is not.

3 is a prime 5 is a prime 7 is a prime 9 will evolve soon from a primal state to prime state. It's everything relative, of course.

Nah. An evolutionist would actually examine the 9, and break it down into primes, and expose it for what it is. :)

From what I remeber of Uni, the proof of 1 + 1= 2 runs for 3 or so pages...

                      I have no blog...

I was never a mathematician but always had my suspicions about 1 + 1 = 2. Really doesn't work that way if you're dealing with relativity. Rich
