Really, why? Much of the world's children experience far worse on an hourly basis than those children did in their entire lives including the show.

I'm starting to get really sick of children in general: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/09/21/AR2007092100365.html[^]

      From the article:

A child is now the equivalent of a minor royal who should be coddled, revered and praised at all times.

Not around my house. Ronin, my 18 moth old, is know as The Bruise around here because he plays so hard and tends to get several little bruises and bumps. It's had the nice side affect of apparently raising his tolerance for pain. But, the down side is he thinks that ice is supposed to go on his head and bruises and not his drinks

My Blog A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. You wouldn't believe how many people I talk to who don't realize that New Mexico != Mexico. Well, El Corazon probably would, he lives here too. Why do we still have to pay taxes if we live in a different country, Mr. Heart?

Please don't bother me... I'm hacking right now. Don't look at me like that - doesn't anybody remember what "hacking" really means? :sigh:

I do... I've been coast to coast, still missing seeing a few states, but I have hopefully a few years left. ;);)

EVERYONE remembers you when you owe THEM money. But they forget you after you are paid up. ;P

Yeah, I wondered about that myself. Little kids can be bastards. But, I will teach him some snappy comebacks and snappy kicks and punches as well.

Yes I am and it had a bit to do with the naming. It seems in classical Japanese culture being a master-less or free man is not looked well upon. But to me they represent independence and self determination. So, I went with that.

I hadn't heard of that movie until someone asked me my son's name and they mentioned it. It's on the list of movies to eventually watch.

Man, that's really impressive. I've been taking my 18 month old son to lessons but he is nowhere in that toddlers neighborhood.

Actually one of the zoos around here has a floor to ceiling Plexiglas window on the tiger cage, letting the kids get inches away from the beast. The tiger was just pacing back and forth at the window as a crowd of kids we screaming and hollering with their faces pressed against the window. I thought it was unnecessarily cruel to the tiger. At least they should open the window every few hours and let it get a snack every once in a while.

which is why USA usurped the entire continental reference and claimed they were the only ones here... though, that does sound awfully familiar to USA history, so maybe it is just "our thing."
