She'll give you a piece later when the children are asleep. Patience.

Seriously. I've uploaded another figure[^]. The left, top and bottom pieces are double (because they are horizontally cut through the middle.) The right piece is single.

in your second figure also the first cut is just the left portion so the total number of piece will be 5 ?

I can't believe this. Take 2 sheets of paper and cut them in the shape of a donut. Bend them and cut the C shape top-down as shown in my drawing. Count the pieces. You'll find eight of them. Assuming the rightmost piece (the piece to the right of the dotted line) is NOT cut through the middle - because as I mention it ISN'T - the 2 pieces of paper are actually one. So you have 7 pieces. Or better yet forget it. I'm getting tired of this.

The word Quartz is should have used is either "between" or "among", not "with". "With" implies that she's participation in the sharing. By the way, I need a visual display of the "cut in half (two halves) overlap like an x and cut in the middle (two halves cut in the middle makes four in my mind)" to see how you get six pieces from this. No matter how I do it, it always comes out to be either four pieces or eight pieces. And no, there's no bending because donuts worth dividing up aren't flexible like that. Trust me, I've eaten enough of them in my life time to be sure of this.

No matter how I do it, it always comes out to be either four pieces or eight pieces. And no, there's no bending because donuts worth dividing up aren't flexible like that. Trust me, I've eaten enough of them in my life time to be sure of this.

Cut the donut into Half. This will give us two C shaped donut pieces. Now place them as piece#1 as "C" at bottom and on top of it 2nd piece but in flipped "C" form so basically like "X" but overlapped. then cut in middle. This gives us 6 pieces. I hope you can visualize what I was saying.

Have you seen a donut recently? If you tried to "fold" it that many times you'd end up with a handful of crumbs, a group of pissed off little kids, and then a woman with a knife, a headache (from the kids), and an extremely bad disposition towards you. Yeah, sounds like a true win/win situation!!! :)

It was never meant to be bent
