Now this is doing my head in. So it says you are logged out but your cookies are fine. What if, after you're logged out, you just refresh?

    cheers, Chris Maunder

Typical, it won't do it now... I'll try just refreshing next time.

Next time this happens, immediately after it happens, can you please go to this page[^] and let me know what it says? I can't reproduce this here. It's very frustrating.

Doesn't make any difference. Firefox fills in the stored login details but that's it.

OK - now the tricky part. When you are kicked can you close your browser and reopen? Are you signed back in? Also: Can you sign in, close all browsers, then open the site again. Are you signed in?

Every time I click on the C# button next to Home, All Topics, etc. And return to the lounge, I get logged out. No, this is not a cookie problem. I have brand new PC I am working on. :(

This way I can reproduce the problem: Using FireFox 2.0.0.11 - Open CodeProject.com - Log in if needed If I close and reopen my browser I'm still logged in. - Now I select 'C#' from the green bar Now when I close and reopen my browser I'm not logged in.

OK, so I was signed in. Quit FF, reloaded. Now signed out. I sign in, and quit FF again. Reloaded, still logged in. No consistency at all!

This way I can reproduce the problem: Using FireFox 2.0.0.11 - Open CodeProject.com - Log in if needed If I close and reopen my browser I'm still logged in. - Now I select 'C#' from the green bar Now when I close and reopen my browser I'm not logged in.

This has to be the common factor! If I click on the MFC/C++ link it will kill my login when I close the browser and reopen the site. After clicking on C# link but before closing browser:

                              Gecko False
                              IE True
                              Opera False
                              Browser IE
                              Type IE7
