Developers, I uploaded a short 7 minute Mole v4 introductory video on You Tube. If you have not yet tried Mole, go take a look at the video and see what all the fuss is about. OK, this is my first video, I did over lunch, so try not to BBQ me in your comments. :-D 1. Watch Video: Mole v4 You Tube Introductory Video (free) 2. Download Mole from here: Mole v4 Code Project Article 3. Use Mole v4 when working and debugging in Visual Studio. From Team Mole, have a great day and enjoy Mole!
Cheers, Karl

27?!! And I thought I moved alot! The first 17 years of my life were in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and I'm hoping to move back there once I get my Masters. Possibly do my PhD at the UoA. Then I moved here, then to Kuwait for 2 years after I quit Microsoft, then back here to Jordan, then to the UAE (Dubai) then to Guangzhou, Guangdong, China and now back here again.

I know what you mean! I haven't many friends off of my blog but I keep in touch with almost every friend I made in my travels. 4 of them actually travelled, one all the way from Spain (met him in Dubai) to attend my wedding last May.

I'm most likely going back to England in May for work/business/meeting CPians. Maybe we'll meet.

I'll be reading up on this soon. I'm still reading my C# books at the moment. I love WCF too. I'm using it at work in our huge WPF project and the multi-player game I'm working on. So much fun, so little time.

Believe me, Seeing the new places and meeting new people is cool. The moving itself is such a hassle.

The game will be released in stores in Q2 2008, so I'm not sure I can write an article on it. I might write one on it's AI or using WCF for communications in a way that does not violoate my agreements. It also does a good bit of run-time animation. What I mean by that, is the animation start and stop points are dynamically determined at run-time, yet WITHOUT using a canvas. Canvas makes this super easy. Without a canvas is a lot more difficult and actually had to come up with this technique on my own. It is orignal and not posted anywhere on the Internet. BTW: The Canvas control exposes LEFT and TOP properites so animation is super easy. When you do not have this, my technique comes into play. Maybe I should write this up, WPF Point To Point Animation Without Using The Canvas. Have a great day,

 Closed Source. I've been meddling around with Open Source stuff for quite some time that I automatically assume that anything mentions will be OS too. I have to be honest, I'm depressed now :(. I've always wanted to break into the gaming industry, I've never had the chance though. Maybe one day. BUT, you mentioned that you're doing this with WPF (something I haven't played around with yet) so, there still hope :)

I have listed some WPF resources in the article. Start with Josh's blog. He has TONS of tutorials. He is Mr. WPF. My humble blog also has a good bit of WPF information. Our blog roles will also get you started with links. If you download my presentations, my applications can teach you a lot and they list resources and how to set your machine up for WPF VS2005. If your using VS2008 then you only need to install VS2008 and begin your programming. BTW: being an ASP.NET developer will be a BIG plus when you dive into WPF. Read this article and you'll see what I mean. http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WPF/WPFProblemSolving.aspx[^]

Excellent. Though truth be told, the majority of my development is Middle Tier and Backend development. I'm the problem solver at the company when it comes to Algorithms and stuff  I [try to] stay up to date so that my job skills are transportable. Thanks a million Karl, you will definitely be hearing from me, Josh too. You've been warned :-\

Cool. BLL and Backend is where I spent most of my time too. Straight scoop dude! I have two articles in the mill. One that will be posted today or tomorrow on, "WPF MDI For Business Applications." The second one is RIGHT up your alley, "Declarative Programming In The Business Layer." I've been doing this for years in my ASP.NET applications. With the release of WPF 3.5, you'll see what I can bring to the table with a single base class. This will be my best article for sure. Those BLL objects can dance! Don't want to give too much detail, but the article is a week or so away. This solution will work with WPF, ASP.NET and WinForms too!

Man, I mean this as such a compliment. Its depressing talking to you and Marc. Y'all make me want to leave my job because it doesn't provide me with the technical satisfaction I seek. I'm so looking forward to your articles, particularly the second.

A lot of what I've done and do is on my own time. Read this and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. It took me 4 months of no sleep to learn WPF and then change the direction of my company from ASP.NET to WPF. Now we are a WPF shop! I love ASP.NET and we still use it, but now do our business forms in WPF. Middle tier is the same, backend is the same, just a different front end. Hey, it's all good. WPF Story http://karlshifflett.wordpress.com/2007/12/22/mentors/[^] WPF over ASP.NET http://karlshifflett.wordpress.com/2007/12/20/reasons-for-choosing-wpf-over-aspnet-for-very-large-project/[^]
