Unfortunately, there seems to be nowhere in the blog that actually says where the hell the source actually is.

Nowhere yet. In comments Scott says "Yes - we'll be releasing a separate download version (that copies all files locally) in the near future as well. "

Well you can download the source from the source server using some tools. BTW The debug symbols were always avaialble at http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols.

Link? Instructions? Please not a video. What is with Microsoft and videos? It's archaic. We should be learning programming, birds and bees, quantum theory, and so forth, by playing massive multiplayer online (MMO) games. Everthing should be entertainment!!! I live to be entertained!!! If I want to cast a spell, I should have to write some lines of code, or describe the creb cycle, or solve a 14 dimensional knot problem!!! Come on Microsoft, get with the times and make learning about programming pure entertainment! Erm, *cough*, ummm....What was I about to say... Oh yeah, an article would be nice. :-O Marc

Strictly speaking, when they say the source code is available what they actually mean is the debug symbols are available. I was a bit disappointed not to be able to download the source directly.

FYI, if you look in the comments in the announcement blog post, you'll see they are going to make the source available as a download.

I did. However, this thread did say that the source code is now available, not the source code is going to be available as a download. Hence the correction. Sheesh - we're not after vapourware.

I figured it out on my own. There has been no "official" way of doing that. I can post an article on it but as soon as Shawn Burke posts about the official way my article will become useless.
