Our whole division was retrenched. As long as we have no loose ends, we can have immediate notice :)

Wow, that's cool.
Remember, your work is not yours alone. Somewhere, there are some codes written by others amongst us that depends on your work. By failing to see that you are part of their ecosystem, you are bound to break their code. *http://dotnetrandz.blogspot.com*

IronScheme - 1.0 alpha 1 out nowWell done, they must have really keen on you to make you an offer immediately like that, or really desperate to get someone :) . I hope it works out and you slot straight in to the new position. I hope I'll be reducing my travelling costs by getting back on my bicycle for my daily commute this year. Just as soon as the doctors tell me I won't end up a cripple in the long term if I do.
Nothing is exactly what it seems but everything with seems can be unpicked.

IronScheme - 1.0 alpha 1 out nowWell done :) I have only 6.5 days left and I am SO happy now. Got my leaving speech down from approx 5 hours to 15 mins.....bit more pruning needed methinks.
I still remember having to write your own code in FORTRAN rather than be a cut and paste merchant being pampered by colour coded Intellisense - ahh proper programming - those were the days :)
