You should only solicit a response from people in countries who play the dammed game, US for instance does not play it and I'd bet less that 5% have any idea about the game. 5 days for a test match - :zzz: :zzz: 1 day matches - these can be fun to watch. 4 hours for 20/20 - I've never actually watched one of these

I used to watch cricket ever since I knew about it. Later, when I learnt that it was all about gambling/match-fixing, I gave up watching it.I still play cricket and basketball with my colleagues to keep fit.

The only good things about cricket are Pimms and Lemonade and Cucumber sandwiches. Of course, it is an ideal game for drinking and eating as a spectator, as very little actually happens. Its just an excuse to sit in the shade of a tree in the English summer and get slowly drunk woth your friends while the occcasional something happens on the pitch.

Oh I think crickets are quite interesting, but they look a lot like cockroaches. It's also easy to confuse a cricket with a grasshopper. I believe, like cockroaches, crickets prefer dark shady areas as their eyes are more attuned to darkness. There's a fan club for crickets? Cool, I would never have guessed, though nowadays, you can find anything on the web, right? I wonder if they include some spicy cricket recipes? But I sort of put cricket fans into the category of the oddball fan club. I mean, the things aren't really that interesting, right? Unless your a bug lover, a kid, or a scientist. Marc
