Web site filtering with an attitude
-
If you ping the site and get ip. Many times you can use ip in url to avoid web site you are interested in from being "filtered". Of course your company may have a reason to block it...

Hyd or Madras?
Cheers, Vikram.
Zeppelin's law: In any Soapbox discussion involving Stan Shannon, the probability of the term "leftist" or "Marxist" appearing approaches 1 monotonically. Harris' addendum: I think you meant "monotonously". Martin's second addendum: Jeffersonian... I think that should at least get a mention.

I think I'll wait until I go home ...
I'm largely language agnostic
After a while they all bug me
All I got was a page from Amazon trying to sell me glasses for brandy or sherry.

I like to call it Madras :) Haven't seen you around a lot here, but there are a lot of CP regulars are from Madras. We should meet up some time. Also, what's your name? I know a few Virtusians myself - do you know Kartik V, Madhubhashini, or Deepan S?
Cheers, Vikram.

You're in Madras too? Cool. My real name is Rajasekharan. And yes, I do happen to know Madhubhashini. She's in New Jersey now. And yeah, meeting up sounds like a good idea. Maybe we can organize something. I've posted a couple of articles on CP and am a bit of a lurker on the forums. I've always wanted to contribute more, but seeing the work of the likes of Josh Smith and Sacha Barber is a bit depressing you know - the kind of effort they put into it - damn! :-\

Once we figured out that taking our shoes and socks off would double our counting ability the technical glitch was quickly rectified.

Heh, Madhu was in my class at college :) Keep an eye out for get-togethers. We had one last year, and 4 of us turned up, which wasn't bad at all, given the short notice. Here[^] are the photos.
Cheers, Vikram.

Dang! Flickr.com is blocked too! "Personal Storage" is what flickr is apparently about and that is of course bad for corporates. To be fair though, my company is actually quite liberal when it comes to internet connectivity. They generally try to not be in your way and even allow access to social networking sites like orkut and facebook! Oh well, no one ever said it was going to be a perfect world!
