Wise men travel the middle road

I was chatting with a co-worker over IM today. I was laughing so hard at part of our conversation, that I just feel compelled to share it here! Me: Creating UIs is like hanging out with cool, hot, fun ladies. Working databases is like square dancing with female truckers. Him: I prefer the middle tier. You get to talk with the ladies but can run away when they start asking for too many gifts.

Having spent many years both playing in bands and developing software, I can assure you, the two experiences don't compare in the slightest. And you don't even want to know about the Bunny Wars. Josh, we've just got to see to it that you get out more... :-D

Unfortunately, my kid sister just walked into the room. Let's just say that living with a stripper brings its own unique set of adventures to the table. :)

That holds just as true for unattractive UIs and faces as it does for attractive ones. Life's a gamble, buddy!

The problem with the cool, hot, fun ladies is they are always changing what they wear. These wardrobe changes don't add any substance to who they really are. They just make someone excited because they can drag them around (AJAX) now or they are in a video (Silverlight).
It's good to be alive
