Perhaps Adnan's point* was that fats is stupid to equate wearing burqas (or are they hijabs?) with oppression? If so, I have to entirely agree with Adnan. If a Muslim woman chooses to wear a burqa of her own free will, she has every right to. * The fact that his English is almost as twisted as his mind doesn't help matters  Half the time I have a hard time figuring out what he's trying to say.
Cheers, Vikram.

In the UK they can choose to wear it; in the muslim (for the most part) world they have no choice. It is, therefore, a bit rich to accuse the UK of oppression when they ar efree to do as they please; i.e. wear a tent and protest that they are being oppressed. Wonder what would happen if they tried to do that in Pakistan or Saudia Arabia? Death by stoning, perhaps? How very civilised and non-oppressive.

You have no idea what you are talking about: niether of those statements are remotely true. You are an idiot and, worse, an utterly ignorant one.
adhominem is best defence of yours. you entertained me yet again.

You are correct. However, it has nothing to do with this discussion.
Cheers, Vikram.

Adnan, While your statement is fair, the point here is that these Muslims *chose* to immigrate to a western country but refuse to abide by its rules. Imagine how it'd be if American women moved to Saudi Arabia and insisted on driving cars, not wearing veils and travelling with men? I am sure they'd all be sentenced to death.

My latest book : C++/CLI in Action / Amazon.com linki find a jew wearing cap all the time whether it's US or somewhere else so the sikhs. SO why do you all get turned on if a Muslim practise his/her religion with his own choice? hypocrisy must be redefined for non-Muslims.

It's not ad-hominem since I was stating a well observed fact.

Definition of oppressive[^]. So according to that, forcing someone to wear someone to wear something or NOT to wear something is called oppression. That means, if I force you not to wear underwear, it means i am being unjust with you. Hope you got now.
Adnan Siddiqi wrote:

Yes. It is a form of oppression. Oppression does not have to come from the government. It can come from within the home. The male members of Muslim society are known to be "overpowering" in their demands that women cover themselves. To quote an example from one of the dictionary items YOU linked to of oppression: "a tyrannical parent".
Adnan Siddiqi wrote:

That is correct. If you force me not to wear underwear then you are being, not only, unjust, but also you are oppressing my desire to wear underwear. You are humiliating me.

If it is of her own free will then she has every right to wear it. However, if it is not free will then it is oppression. Also, while she may freely wish to wear a hijab or burqua (which ever is the one covering everything but the eyes) it must fit properly. There have been a number of near accidents where I live because of Muslim women not wearing properly fitting clothing and it obscures their vision. Unless an accident actually occurs the police are mostly unwilling to do anything because they are fearful of being called racist even although these women are committing driving offences due to their inability to properly control the vehicle.

If they don't like how we do things they could always fuck off back to Pakistan or the Middle East or Saudia Arabia and get beaten up and married off or honour killed or whatver those non-oppressive regimes allow. Fucking idiots.:mad::mad:
Or you f**king British could have left the rest of the world alone and not colonized India/Pakistan. Now your colonials are reverse colon-izing your sorry arses and you don't appreciate the f**king irony.

funny coming from a follower of a religion which forces one to wear a lil cap on head all the time even in underwear and forces believers to recruit in Army after 15 even if someone is not willing because it was said in a BOOK. Irony! eheh
