It's a Saturday, things tend to slow down a bit if not stop over the weekend.  Now if you'll excuse me I'm going out to the biggest Summer Ball in London now...

I can't remember ever seeing it this slow.

Is it just me or is today especially slow in the lounge? Last post was by me almost 6 1/2 hours ago and the one before that was 10 hours ago. I can't imagine that it's that nice world-wide where everyone is outside.

It's your day to entertain us. Didn't you get the memo? Weekends are usually slow here, because despite stereotypes, a lot of us actually have lives. Today I spent the morning cutting and welding on a project, then I'm probably going to go to the gym or a bar, whichever seems more attractive at the moment. Tomorrow I'm going to a swap meet with a friend, then to hang out at the lake with her and her little dog (it's my turn to hold the dog's head underwater), then back to her place to barbecue. Ribs, not the dog. So, no time for posting exciting things on CP. You're it...

It's that nice here, really. Just getting back to my work after a beautiful day in the park with my wife and daughter. There's 19,000 online, though. Although I have a suspicion that Chris' online tally may not exactly start at 0 :suss:

Most people have things to do on weekends. Today i spent the entire morning driving around Minneapolis looking for computer parts to refurbish a computer I aquired. Then I spent the afternoon returning them after I realized less was working on the computer than i thought and it was no longer cost effective. Then tonight I have my first date since breaking up with my old girl friend... which was actually what took up most of my weekend last week :)

It was 85 degrees here and not much humidity. Worked in the yard/garden most of the day.

Yesterday (Friday) was the day after our anniversary. My husband was in his cubicle talking to one of his employees. I rang and he told the employee, "See? You are so important I am not taking a call from my wife." The girl felt bad and then he said, "Eh, it's the day after our anniversary so I've got a freebie." :)

I remember there was one work day that there seemed to be a high number of users logged in and someone said it was Google. I've seen unplublished artciles through Google (checking if the article is plagarized) so they must index often.

Independent contractor is the second. But I don't make enough yet to stop the first.

Sounds lovely... It was at least 85 here when I woke at 6:00, then it warmed up a bit. X|

I take it you must be in CA/AZ or that general area. We've seen that weather before and I know how much is SUCKS. We're lucky enough that it's so rural that if there is an overuse of AC transformers do not quit. The last couple weekends have been so humid for this area (I realize for coastal areas it would be considered normal) I have not gotten much done in the backyard. That's what is so weird about South Dakota, Nebraska, MN, etc. You can be -30 (F) in the winter and be over 100 in the summer. I don't think many areas see that much difference.

I remember there was one work day that there seemed to be a high number of users logged in and someone said it was Google. I've seen unplublished artciles through Google (checking if the article is plagarized) so they must index often.

Check this out. Less than 30 mins after you posted this, it's already on google. And it's been there for a while. http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&q=I+remember+there+was+one+work+day+that+there+seemed+to+be+a+high+number+of+users+logged+[^]
