There are many people who think that the life in the country is much better and easier than the life in the town because it pure, clean good water and air can be found only in the country,in the town is nothing except noise, smoke and illness but on the other hand some people thinks that the life in the country is quite dull and uninteresting. But I think that the life in the country is very happy only for a short time. Now whats your choice?

each person is different, each choice has different advantages and disadvantages. In each case some of the advantages to one person, are disadvantages to another person. There is no right or wrong choice except for the person involved and by his own likes and dislikes. To me the only thing better than retiring in the country would be retiring on mars. Hey, I like to have a bit more distance between me and my neighbors. :)

My parents always said that your opinion of a nice place to live changes as you get older. Older folk appreciate the quiet country life more than younger people I think.

I have lived in cities and the country and I definitely prefer country life. I like the slower pace, more open spaces, the silence and in my experience people are much more polite and patient compared to cities. I also like long cycle rides and walks and the countryside is much more suitable for that. And if I get bored with all that, I just make a trip to the nearest city on weekends. Usually I find that I can't wait to get back home after that. Not everyone feels the same way though. I have friends and colleagues who would rather live in cities and pay higher rent and commute longer distances than live the boring country life. So yeah, different strokes for different folks.

I've have lived in both the country and the bigger city/towns and I love both. The country is quiet and you get me time which is good but the town is busier and full of life. I think that if I had to make a choice I would choose the country as I like a bit of solidarity. :)

I agree with that. I can't say I liked city life when I was younger, but I didn't mind it either. Now I have taken a definite disliking for it.

I guess I never liked it. But that is partly growing up in the valley in albq. There was a drug dealer in elementary school and everyone knew who he was. I was beat up more times than I could count, and stabbed twice before finishing 6th grade, though one was a minor flesh wound. Everyone's choices are victim to their own experiences, I am no different. My view of the city is colored by my experiences in the bad side of the bigger city. I was quite happy to move away. Though small city life has its problems too, especially bigotry and bias in many ways. :) One reason I would prefer to get as far away from other humans as possible, the farther the better. :)

Small town, I can walk for 15 mins to the shops or 5mins to the country or drive 10 mins to the coast. :)

I live on the edge of a village that is now classed as a town. 5 mins walk to the shops and pubs and other amenities. 5 mins drive to sports club 5 mins cycling to get into the countryside 15 mins drive to nearest city and park the car. 35 mins drive to work. Nice.

I like small towns, like the one I live in (~150k inhabitants), but I hate big ones. As for countryside, it's very different across the world. It kinda sucks in less developed countries, but it's nice in the modern ones.

Living in the UK in Cambridge the countryside nearby is not really the countryside as it is vastly overfarmed. I live in a nice quiet part of Cambridge away from the Hoi polloi  so in that sense I am very happy. From what I gather the countryside in Iran is very different to the UK and from what I have seen it is very beautiful as well - so my choice, if I lived in in Iran, would probably be the countryside.

I loved living in the suburbs of Edmonton, Alberta. Small city and far enough to have peace and quiet yet still close enough to have proper city services.

I like small towns, like the one I live in (~150k inhabitants), but I hate big ones. As for countryside, it's very different across the world. It kinda sucks in less developed countries, but it's nice in the modern ones.

There. Fixed that for you :). Though truth be told, its sucks because of the lack of amenities. If you wanted to rough it up, that's the place to be.

Small town, I can walk for 15 mins to the shops or 5mins to the country or drive 10 mins to the coast. :)

Town life is the middle way. I live in Cambridge, UK and its lovely. Its 10 mins on my bike to town and the same to work. My ride to work takes me across a couple of commons. If I want to go to the countryside that's 5 mins cycling away. I know people will say Cambridge is actually a city but its the size of a town. Its no bigger than where I was born in Macclesfield! Tried living in London and hated it. It took ages to get anywhere however you travelled.
