So do I. I was at the Tech-Ed ending party, surreal enough made up like an outdoor fair in an underground parking garage, and I went back to my room for a joint, and as I stood up to leave, I walked past the TV and saw the first tower collapse. :( It was very surreal. I knew what had happened, but didn't expect the collapse.

Which did not occur. Ruled out by the fact that pancaking would simply have been too slow to match the observed collapse time and could not have occured symetrically in an asymetrically reinforced building with asymetrical fires. Even without the unexplained molten metal and eye witness testimonies of multiple eplosions and a demolition countdown this would be a pathetically inadequate explanation. Albeit that they had next to no physical evidence to go on as the crime scene was cleared without forensic examination.

Hey Matthew: The sky is green. It turned green last night at 10 pm. I saw it. It's the US inducing electromagnetic interference to block Soviet propaganda transmissions. Look outside right now! Not blue, GREEN. You have no physical evidence that it's not green, so it's green.

Felt the same here. I was in a lot of disbelief about it until I saw the headlines in the paper the next day. That is about when reality really set in for me. And remembering seeing people jumping out of the building was pretty bad, too. No judging their decision to do so. What angers me more than 9/11 is all of the conspiracy b.s. that float around it.

Where did they resort to that? Give specific examples citing the page number of the report and the exact mistake that these engineers made, if you please. Otherwise I'll just have to write you off as one more crank with no knowledge of physics who hasn't even bothered to read the report. Bah, who am I kidding. I've already written you off, but feel free to prove me wrong.

I didn't say anything about hawking an extra paper. I did have the L.A. Times delivered to me at that time. I still have the front page of 9/12's paper, and also when the Angels won the World Series in '02, along with Mark McGwire breaking Roger Maris's homerun record. Those were all at the time when I actually wasted money subscribing to a newspaper.

I didn't have to wait until the next day. I got my copy of the Extra Edition from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette around 2PM on the 11th. It should still be sitting around my parents house with the stuff I never got around to retrieving.

It seems to me that it's the conspiracy nuts who are ignoring some basic laws of the universe.

I would love to live in a world of absolutes. A complex system, which could only occur once, is reduced to the pontifications of nut jobs, who know for SURE that what happened, could not have happened. Did you read http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=911_morons[^] ??? I would love to know your response ( yes, it's written in a humorous fashion, but he's dead right ).

I didn't have to wait until the next day. I got my copy of the Extra Edition from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette around 2PM on the 11th. It should still be sitting around my parents house with the stuff I never got around to retrieving.

Same here. It's in one of those blue totes one can pickup at Target or Walmart. Problem is, I have many of those, kind of like all the crates in Indiana Jones movie warehouse.

Of course. This is a site for software developers after all, where many believe you aren't supposed to actually read the documentation.
