Go out - to a bar or something. At least even if you don't talk to people, you will at least see other people. It makes a difference.

some things will change, but you have to be part of it... get out and walk, choose locations of interest, take a camera, learn the guitar, learn the flute. I used to sit under the bridge playing a flute, and although I was already dating, more ladies came up to me to ask me about it than ever had in previous years! Do something with your life, and you will find life rewards you... and keep your eyes OPEN! Someone could be close at hand and you may not realize it. Desperation and sorrow is no way to meet a woman! Thirst (February 1999) Do you know what it is like to thirst? Not want or desire, everybody wants. . . A thirst comes from inside, Telling you that it is necessary For your very survival. A thirst tears at your sanity. A thirst tears at your soul, The very fabric of your being. Only the strongest of men Can survive a true thirst Without finding a way to quench it. Do you know what it is like to be Lonely? Not the loneliness of one, It is easy to be lonely when you are one. True loneliness is the lonliness of many, The loneliness that strikes you in a crowd. True loneliness that invades your sleep. True loneliness that catches you at a party To tell you that you do not belong. True loneliness is an ache in your soul. True loneliness is NOT a desire. . . True loneliness is . . . a thirst. Thank You My Friend A friend walked down life's path with me. At first behind, where I did not see. She followed close, watching patiently, Until, at last, I saw her still with me. Hand in hand we walked for miles. She talked me through all life's trials. Until, at last, we met the garden aisles; Exchanging our very heartfelt smiles. Thank you, my friend, for walking with me! Thank you, my friend, for helping me see That life's trials did not reflect poorly on me. May I now walk a little farther with thee?

few realize this until it is too late. Luckily for me I got a 2nd chance. After my brush with death I have: published a photo, entered and won prizes at the fair, learned to play the flute, started my own company, and many others.... All the things I said I would "try" to do "someday". Someday is always tomorrow, the best way to make it happen, is just do it.

Being alone gets easier after the Xth year (insert figure you feel is appropriate). Then worse then better then... Just remember that it averages out to being on an even keel over the long term. :)

You make it sound so simple, like turning on a light switch!

I don't recall ever telling anyone about huge Sunday fry-ups, but then again I drink too much so my memory ain't what it used to be :)

Ah, you see, you're thinking about finding the right woman. Now that is tricky because she doesn't exist, but the indefinite woman is very easy to find :)

In a way it is.... There are no woman outside? You drive to work past none? You live in montana where they are all taken? finding someone is first Not jumping to the conclusion. If you want to bed someone or get married tomorrow, chances are you will find only someone to make you more miserable. :) getting to know someone takes time, but the first light switch is knowing it does, accepting it does, and trying anyhow. Don't wear your heart on a sleeve, don't mope around and ignore all the women either. Living life is a light switch, the rest just comes with time.

That is achievable in moderation...when being single goes on too long moping gets hard to suppress 100% of the time.
