I believe that an Omniphile is a sexual deviant, someone who would have sex with a table or Ford Fiesta. That kind of thing. Just my interpretation you understand. Whereas Holophile is a lover of (w)holes! :)

Ahh...haha....uhh....yeah, totally not a perfect description of me...:~

:) :rose: Here's my reasoning: Holo- = whole, complete Omni- = all -phile = one that loves or has an affinity for

Ahhh, that makes sense. I did consider 'love of holograms' but dismissed it as not really practical with today's technology, we'll have to wait for star trek style holodecks. ;) Let down by my insufficient knowledge of Greek.

I will look away for a few minutes whilst you go do what you need to do with that table. Mind you it is a good looking table, you wouldn't want an ugly one!

It is a handsome table, but the hole is, like, freakin' massive. I can't even imagine the technicalities of such an act.

"Omniphile" is an unholy combination of Latin and Greek. I would prefer "pantophile" if it didn't give another altogether incorrect impression! [later] It turns out someone already thinks it's a proper word. The Complete Idiot's Guide to Philosophy has 'Because of his wide-ranging interests, Diderot was nicknamed "Pantophile," which means lover of everything.' Excuse the American punctuation - I'm quoting! [/later]
