At least he isn't reviewing reviews. Issac Asimov predicted Meta-Anaylsis as one of the factors that contribute to the lack of knowledge in a society in his Foundation books. (Yes, I did technically provide a meta-analysis)

I was just about to say the same, 75% ads, the actual article is a thin W.O.T (wall of text) and any other genuine site content consists of tabbed modules.

Generally, when you're starting a new thread in order to link to something you found interesting, it's polite to include a representative quote from, or short synopsis of the material being linked to, along with any thoughts you might have on the topic (the sort of thing you might reply with if someone else had posted the link). In short, you should give us a reason, ideally your reason, for bothering to follow the link.

Oh, OK I didn't realise that. I do sometimes - or at least paste some of the content so readers can decide whether to go to the full link. In my earlier post I did actually post a critical remark about it. Re: an interview with Anders I didn't think I needed to say anything as I assumed there would be enough people here who would be naturally curious enough.

This has become a matter of course for me when I look at IT articles. They're almost always embedded in a page full of ads.

I use Adblock Plus firefox plugin for most of my browsing... not sure if they have an IE one or not, but well worth installing. NoScript is also a decent addon too. When I find a site that doesn't go overboard with the ad's and that I find useful, it gets unblocked from adblock, thereby supporting sites I like, and ignoring the badly designed and greedy ones. :D
