Well, it is his sister that died, not his wife's...

So his wife should feel nothing?

I would definitely not let my kid sister read this post.

I think maybe the anniversary isnt the best time to try and get a 'root'.
I think it's his* call, not ours. A good frolick through the woods looking for roots does release a lot of good hormones. Better than drinking it away as seems to be the Western way. * and his wife's obviously

Hmm word play or are you mis-understanding what the word root means?

Thats why my post was offering my opinion not telling him what to do

Yes, Steve, exactly what I said. Well done. Michael is suffering, she is more removed from the suffering (pretty sure she isn't up drinking and cussing with him. Maybe at him but not with him) and a bit of sympathy wouldn't go amiss. And a lot of people find comfort in sex during hard times, nothing much wrong with it.
cheers, Paul M. Watson.

I do recognise that Michael posted while drunk and at a time of emotional distress, but suppose his wife finds the thought of sex at times of emotional distress distasteful - should she just abandon her own feelings? There's nothing wrong with sex as a comforter at hard times, but it's not the only solution, and if one partner wants it and the other doesn't then it's going to cause stress.

Fair enough. However you seem to be going through this thread criticising everyones responses rather then offering your own condolences.

Obviously. I acknowledged that in another post.

Edited out myself. [/Update] [Update2] Doesn't work on the second fuck in a row either. Woops. [/Update2]

Very well put. I thought I was the only one looking at it that way.
