Well a lot of Indians would mis-spell that too I'd think. Sadly for me, a lot of Indians mis-spell my name as "Nishanth" :-( Luckily no westerner has done that to me yet.

Alternatively, May be it was mis-spelled by your parents and you came to think of mis-spelling as the real spelling.

Google has 5 times the search results for "Nishant" as it has for "Nishanth" - so I doubt if that is so. Even assuming that they misspelled my name originally, people who reply to my posts should know to use the right spelling.

Do you know how slow my internet connection is compared to the rest of the globe? Its faster than 1% of other connections worldwide, and I have a decent connection to the internet. Sad.

maybe, OTOH outside of india; I suspect almost everyone who knows of Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar misspells his name.

I assume Gurta is a misspelling for Gupta (an Indian name). I've never heard of NeeChee.

If you follow the link below the advertisement and enter in your address they will tell you the speeds available to you. Mine was 16MBit and I am pretty sure 30MBit FIOS is in my neighborhood so not the fastest where I live..
