Previous work involved a company that had an artist in residence (or some such title). It was all you could do to avoid tripping over the life size papier mache Dilberts - windmills, funny pottery dogs on the lawns (that some other wag placed some fake poo next to), the dreaded alco-man and the mad tea ladies. They even got TV coverage. Not bad if you are having a slack day but annoying when you are trying to get your head round a problem and then alco-man comes up to your desk and tries to give you alcohol from a plastic cup. :) :) :)

Ethics and rules are two different things. I try to be a very ethical employee ( for exmample, I would not write a mag or CP article that exposes stuff proprietary to work ), but as far as rules go, where I work is pretty relaxed about things that don't matter for people who understand what does matter, and apply themselves to it. That's how it should be - we're skilled workers, not plumbers. Christian Hey, at least Logo had, at it's inception, a mechanical turtle. ;) It's easy to sit there and say you'd like to have more money. And I guess that's what I like about it. It's easy. Just sitting there, rocking back and forth, wanting that money.

I guess that's why India is so good at cricket, all the other fun stuff is frowned upon :-D Saying that, I'm not sure how people would react if I started kissing my coworkers (especially since they are mostly blokes). The English seem to have a problem with the friendly kiss - must be our Victorian roots showing. Michael Programming is great. First they pay you to introduce bugs into software. My bosses are also developers, and it's a young company. It rules. I took a pay cut to work there, and my last job was far from terrible, it was pretty darn good, too. Christian Hey, at least Logo had, at it's inception, a mechanical turtle.
