OK, so I have had it with godaddy. Can anyone recommend a web host ? We need a SQL Server database, ASP.NET 2.0, or 3.5 ( I don't think we care ), the ability to run HTTP Handlers on the host ( so probably IIS7 ), the ability to send email in code ( sounds odd, but GoDaddy has all sorts of restrictions ), and a mail server that we can also use in our program to send mail with attachments.

http://www.austiger.com.au/site/index.cfm[^] - Highly recommended, I've used them for about six years without any issues.

I've had good luck with WebHost4Life[^] It's fairy inexpensive and has 24/7 tech support to harass. I jumped ship from godaddy when I saw what the prices were if you went over your allotted bandwidth.

I've been using Applied Innovations[^] for years and have been extremely happy with them. They're definitely geared to programmers and I've used all you mention and more. I have no doubt that you can find countless cheaper solutions than these guys, but if you're shopping for price I think you're going to get what you pay for. In my own experience the cheap solutions turned out to be prohibitively expensive in terms of time, hassle, frustration and Restraining Fist of Death. That said, I don't know if they've been vaccinated against ESD, so your experience might not be as positive as mine has been. :-D

I can second applied innovations. Although, I was only hosting a demo site to demonstrate my skills. But I never had any issues with them. And it was pretty easy to use.

I didn't get any requirements for the signature

I'd say go for Softsys Hosting[^]. They're cheap, notably up to date, provide active support, and, their uptime is OK (didn't make strong tests to uptime though).

If there is room in the budget I liked The Planet[^] the last time I launched an asp.net site for a client. It's been many moons since I've used them so, I can only hope that they are still running a tight ship.

damn.. :wtf: I'll have to keep an eye on that. So far I've just been pulling the pop3 and not leaving anything on their servers.

http://www.discountasp.com I've been using them for about 4 years. Customer service is really good and I think they do everything you mentioned.
