Nothing that interesting :-D It's just every now and then they seem to increase it - finally it grew to 15Tb which should be more than enough - shame the rest of the service is rubbish.

My current hosting company seems to have some serious problems, my site was hacked a few months ago and it wasn't until google blacklisted it that I found out. Now my site is not even available anymore, some kind of DNS problem but they won't respond to my emails..... Anyway I need a new host, can anyone recommend a good (but cheap) hosting company preferably based in the US (I live in the UK, but the US hosts are generally cheaper and better featured) ? I would like somewhere that roughly matches what I currently get: 750Gb Disk Space 15Tb Monthly Transfer MySQL, PHP, etc 1000 Emails thanks

I did think it was a lot, but they kept saying "here have some more" - which is why I stayed with them, it's only recently (since they were bought out) that they have gone downhill - badly.

purly depend upon your criteria, for me 100 MB web space with 20 gb monthly tranfer stand good, so koolhost.com is providing me quite good service. But same doesn't hold good for guy who posted his query?

I need more disk space than that (or will do soon) and aim to have a commercial site up and running by the end of the year so will need a higher transfer rate. Thanks anyway,

5 USD/mo is nothing if you convert to Euros (2.77 Euros - a glass of beer at a pub costs 4/5 Euros) :-D .

It is a great price, currently paying around $6.34 which was good too, but they (the hosting company) have become terrible recently.

India is a cheap country as long as you don't want to do anything with technology (well, cellphone charges, being cheap, are an exception).

Thanks Hans, This is way way cheaper then what I am paying right now. $10/month and unlimited domains and mssql database with full trust support for asp.net 3.5 ? :omg: wow Since how long you are using this service ? If its stable then I will sure consider this hosting provider. Thanks. :)

If you're looking for the cheapest thing you can find there are plenty of options. However, if you're doing serious .NET development, I've been using http://www.appliedi.net/shared-hosting/[^] for years and recommend them without hesitation. There are glitches occasionally as there will be with any company, but the quality of their phone support has always impressed me. I'm sure they're not the cheapest kids on the block, but they're competitive and in terms of the overall experience, you get what you pay for (when a cat 5 hurricane romped over the data center in south Florida a few years ago, my site stayed up).

where are you currently hosting? I have 3 hosting accounts currently in the US. A GoDaddy account (although I don't recommend them to anyone for anything), a Powweb account, and a dreamhost account.

The host in question is "website source" www.websitesource.com I recommend never using them!
