Still to watch last night's episode but utterly brilliant so far. However, I have one weeny niggle: if bits of Jack grow into a full jack wouldn't all the other bits also grow into Jack so there would be multiple Jacks flouncing around? Or did I miss something? Or am I taking it far too seriously?

TAking it far too seriously. Also, as seen in the last episode of series four of Dr Who, the Hand regenerated into a whole 'Doctor' (complete with Donna DNA!) The Premise is the bit with the head is what regenerates, after all, when he does finally die in 5 Billion years, all that is left is his face! (The Face of Boe[^])

That's depressing. I've been waiting for it to air on BBC America, just like the Doctor. It looks like it will have a really good story line. Does it live up to the hype I am getting on this side of the pond? I still have to wait till 27 July before I get to watch these episodes.

Yes It is a far darker and more impresive story than the previous ones, presumably because it is one story told over 5 hours, rather than rushing to a dénouement in 55 minutes. I suspect that there will be no Deux Ex Machina to sort this tale out, but part 5 is tonight.

But worth it. Are they going to air them over five nights as here, or one a week?

Easily - it's as much a political thriller as it is a Sci Fi show. There are lots of surprises in it (I can't tell you what last nights biggie was without spoiling it for others, but wow - what a surprise).

Dave - bloody hell mate. Ianto Jones - who'd have seen that coming? Apparently Russell Davies wasn't lying when he said no character was safe.

One Jacks what? (Anyway John Barrowman's ego wouldn't allow him to share star billing with anyone else, not even himself! :))

Get that but she said that they'd found a part of the head which leaves the other part or parts of the head to regenerate into other Jacks. Anyway, you're right, I should get a life... :-)

Bloody hell. Wow. What an episode - an intelligent storyline, with a study on the psyche of leaders under pressure. You will love this when it screens elsewhere.

From what I found on BBC America's website, it looks like it will be aired over 5 nights in one week. I also had the day wrong. I had it confused when they air Doctor Who "Planet of the Dead." The mini series for Torchwood here starts 20 July...Woohoo only 10 more days left.
