Will you hire a .NET Developer with Flash and Action Scripting knowledge or it doesn't matter if he knows it or not.

I think that depends on the requirement of the position that the candidate is being considered for. Flash and action scripting might be of added advantage if the position is for web development.

Actually there is a project that involves flash and action scripting knowledge. As i am into .Net Development, i am just wondering if it would be useful to go that route and gain some experience in flash and AS or should i just stick to .NET stuff.

Look like .net flex application. If that so then it is good to go with action script.

To stuck on one technology means to stuck in one place instead of moving. What you'll do if .NET will be discontinues for some reason? Or you believe that one technology you know will feed you until the end of your life? Totally naive question and answer is YES - YOU SHOULD. I'd also recommend to get knowledge in JavaScript (JQuery, JSon etc), C/C++ because these languages are roots of everything else.

Sorry but i was into windows development and recently started with web development - So i have got followin g skills - C, C++, Assembly, Microprocessor , java, C# , SQL, Access, SMS, Wireless networking and lot of more but yeh new to web development so now into .NET only but can revert back to any other tech easily. My main aim of askin this question was as flash is like designer job really and m a developer. So would it be worth to have that knowledge and which would mean less experience with .NET . You know what i mean but yeh you are right, i will learn action scriptin n flash bit..can help a lot in future ... Thanks
