The back is the same, the hairs could have been "damaged off", the front is out of focus.. well.. Anyway it's closest I could find, and at least I am 100% certain that it is no worm but some kind of caterpillar.
Worm, Caterpillar, what's in a name in court case where the judges are, IMHO, barely literate...

To be technical (Harold's fault! :)) its a caterpillar that during the summer of 2007 appeared in my salad (delivery) and I've been in court (they sued) for more than 2 years now. No, not a sandworm :)

This is actually not a worm, but the so Southern Wormleaf (Artemisia ablatum) which, when it's hot, rolls it leaves up and looks similar to a worm. Additionally, fresh leafs, when covered in Balsamico or other slightly acidic substances, start to wriggle a bit. It is a great addition to fresh salads, due to it's strong, peppery note. Can I use the picture you posted for the respective wikipedia article?
Don't attribute to stupidity what can be equally well explained by buerocracy.

You might want to check who you host images with!!! :D I clicked the link once and all was well, your salad etc. I clicked it again after Chris suggested it was a catepillar and I got dumped on some site called Streamate with some semi-risque pictures and then a pop-up appeared - "Jasmin: Amateur Web cam Sex"!!! :omg: :-O Not that it bothers me, of course, man of the world and all that, but you probably don't want to use a service like that for your more professional or family oriented picture hosting needs :) Now go and get yourself a Photobucket account.
