I work at home, right next to a window running the big room. However, there is very little to do in the unpleasantly cold (for SA an overnight minimum of -2c) big room right now, and my recently acquired freelancer status biases me toward activities where my skills may affect earnings.

There's no such thing as bad weather - only inappropriate clothing.

Drupal, WPF, MooTools, PHP? The choices are paralysing.

In that case, definitely WPF. That way your system can be paralysed too.

The sooner you get comfortable with WPF's deficiencies, the sooner you'll be able to freely puke your guts out every time you have to work with it. Believe me - the first few times it happened to me, I tried real hard not to blow chunks all over my monitor, but I only managed to hurt myself in the process.

All good choices but would depend on how much time you want to spend MooTools - fairly small learning curve can achieve self gratification in a short amount of time WPF - Steep learning curve but well worth the investment Drupal and PHP?? Your on your own Mike

Brady, if you are looking for PHP Video Tutorials from beginner upwards then visit Here[^]. Apparently there are 13 of them. And then http://www.killerphp.com/videos/[^] has a couple of dozen. But if you want "traditional" on-line tutorials then PHP 101[^] in 15 parts. If not looking for such, then sorry to trouble you.

No, it is OK, up here in the 'world' , we also say 'tap' for 'faucet'. It really is not that hard translating from 'English' to 'America'- at least on paper. A little harder in person. I work with a bunch of Indians (sub-continent), Vietnamese and Chinese (Mainland - Mandarin), and comms in just fine in IM or email. It is really hard to do face to face.

Have you thought about going into the Big Room instead? The big room is the extremely large room with the blue ceiling and intensely bright light (during the day) or black ceiling with lots of tiny night-lights (during the night) found outside all computer installations.

I always start to change colors when I'm in that room for more than a few minutes. It's weird and makes me feel funny.
