    I tend to resort to the ploy in the strip[^] linked to on that page before I get anywhere near that far...

              That sounds more like work than for relaxation...or do I have the wrong impression of Dostoevsky? I've always found Russian writers a little slow going.

                            After they ask about 100 questions, you should ask them one of the questions they asked about 50 questions ago. If they can't answer, tell them they aren't paying attention and you aren't going to keep answering their questions if they don't renember your answers. And if they manage to answer correctly, then keep pumping them full of information![^] ;P

                            Visual Studio is an excellent GUIIDE.

                                  I usually tell them to ask a complete question. Simply saying "Why?" is not enough. The response "Why what?" is a good starter, there. Then, if their question makes sense, I will answer it in an age-appropriate fashion. But as soon as they stop making valid questions, or are unable to grasp the complexity, I cut them off. Actually, this should be required for adults, as well.

                                  Codemonkeys don't do it at all. Too busy coding.
