I guess research into the issue isn't something that slashdot does. in all fairness, there are a number of high-rated posts in the story pointing this out. so, even though the guy who submitted the story didn't do his research, the /. readers are aware of the apparent hypocracy. -c

One thing that the SF statement mentions is that it respects whatever the projects source license is. So if the code is licensed under GPL then SF can't do anything not permitted under GPL. Haven't read the MS version, I would suspect that the initial annoyance was partially over not even respecting the code authors project license. ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire!
