An added bonus of following that process is that it gives you an extra bookmark to the superest duperdest site on the Internet! Seriously: How the Hell are you supposed to test this? The time saved/lost will be in such minute amounts that I doubt anyone (outside of the Flash) will be able to see a difference. And, of course, it will be an eternal beta, which means that they can change whatever the Hell they like, whenever the Hell they like, so, rather than configure once and forget forever, it's likely to require multiple config amendments (especially in the short term). And it also means that the entire DNS system you use will be owned by a US corporation. Wow, but that's a big incentive.

I've found a good place to use it in, the IP->ISP/counter resolver in torrent clients. They spam huge amounts of DNS queries and it doesn't really matter if they are logged/answered with bullshit data/ignored

Like the first thread on this I certainly trust google more than I trust Comcast. Even though google is most certainly doing this to target web adds to what users are browsing..
