The funniest part is that most Japanese don't eat whale meat... there are warehouses full of the stuff that they can't sell, but still they continue their "scientific research program" to get more...

All of those actors were involved in piracy as defined by the U.N. so I can't say I am really to concerned about criminals getting what they deserve. ... Especially since the show is so incredibly boring.

And rather than just use a sample from one whale, they want samples from every whale. That way, they can preserve biodiversity. Now that's environmental dedication!

The ICR countered that the Ady Gil had come "within collision distance" directly in front of the Nisshin Maru bow and repeatedly deployed a rope from its stern "to entangle the Japanese vessel's rudder and propeller" The d1ckheads should be keelhauled. I assume that they're sponsored to play games in fun boats year long by grannies and children, who give their precious pennies to protect pretty whales. The most idiotic of cretins would know that the only way to stop whaling is by diplomacy and negotiation, and that the actions of these idiots only gain the whaling industry more support -- but they don't care about that; they just want to play pirate.

... but they should really get a clue on how to drive a boat. Technically, it's the Ady Gil that hit the Japanese ship, which certainly cannot make turns rapidly because it's huge. Besides, do you Japanese guys really, absolutely need to eat whales?

Well but there are a lot of other species you can eat and that are not in danger of extinction.

Cynical and probably correct, but regardless, is trying to prevent endangered animals from being poached to extinction (within a marine sanctuary) really such a bad cause?

Uh-huh, they've been trying diplomacy since 1986[^] - meaning that it's been around 24 years with no results; sounds like it's time to try something else.

The minke whales they are hunting are NOT becoming extinct. There are several thousand of them.

Something else diplomatic, or negotiate with something else, yes. Playing stupid pirate games that endanger the lives and livelihoods of honest working men with families is, and never should be, an option.

Absolutely, and that's one of the reasons I would never eat whale. But I wouldn't drive a Humvee, either -- or any other car, for that matter. Let he who is without sin, and all that. Make a deal with them: Offer to give up all the things you do that are bad for the environment/ecology/other species if one of them stops eating whales. e.g. use one (1) monitor only (and a small one, at that), switch off all peripherals every minute when they are not being used, etc. It's easy to be saintly about other people's behaviour.
