    Ya know, I like the company I work for, but this office has some serious temperature problems... Some days it's way too hot, some days it's way too cold, and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the outside temperature. Today, it's freezing in here... I'm sitting here in my coat... I'd put on my gloves if I could type with them... Trying to integrate a quantitative analysis engine into my software, and everything just seems to mysteriously slip out of my mind... I think Lewis Black said it best (Always a stand-up comic)... And I'm quoting from memory here, so not too accurate... "I know it's cold. You know how I know? Because I haven't been able to finish a sentence in my own head! I'm thinking, 'You know, I should really-- @#%*()^@# it's cold!!!'" Ok, it's not really THAT cold here... But it's cold enough that I can't concentrate on the code...

    Do local labor laws specify a minimum office temperature before your employer is forced to send you home (with pay)?

    3x12=36 2x12=24 1x12=12 0x12=18

        Are you a hundred percent sure that this is a temperature related phenomenon? I’m asking because I’m experiencing the same problem since Monday and the temperature here is perfect.

          I wish laws here specified a maximum office temperature after which my employer is forced to send me home with pay.

          Cheers, Vikram. (Got my troika of CCCs!)

            I think this rather will increase his boss temperature.

              Oh, I don't think it's below the minimum... It's just cold enough that I can't concentrate, which means I'm just wasting oxygen here.

                I thought that too, so kept my mouth shut... Then one of the traders sitting near me started complaining about the cold, so I knew it wasn't me.

                        Good thing it's not ring 0 code you're writing. You could end up with a frozen kernel. :)
