Why I Hate Visual Studio 2010 RC

And what exactly are your problems? My experience has been very good. I migrated a real life project and it had worked great so far. It is pretty fast and has not crashed for me a single time.

Mine too. The installation crashed at exactly the same point as yours did - maybe that's why it's working great for both of us

Hmm, perhaps that should be reported as a bug.

RC stand for Real Crap. If you build an App that will not intall correctly - why not give the opportunity to completely uninstall everything before committing the install to the OS. Oh, I'm sorry this M$ were talking about!
Actually, I think it is a very good product (I have to admit I haven't used it extensively). :)

Virtual Machine. I installed in Windows 7 XP Mode, installed like a charm, runs ok. I know this doesn't help - but after all the talk about the Beta it would be *cough*foolish*cough* to install it on anything but a sacrificable system.

Therefore, your opinions about the product are ignored instantly. ;P PS: To be honest, I actually did not like 2010 at all. The debugger was slightly better, but I think that the "6 is the new 10" is a blatant lie, or they have no idea what 6 was like.

Nah, it is good: the
C
compiler ( ) for instance, is wonderful. :-DIf the Lord God Almighty had consulted me before embarking upon the Creation, I would have recommended something simpler. -- Alfonso the Wise, 13th Century King of Castile.

I wonder if we can blame it on VS2010...
