I'm an excited bunny right now. There's a guitar show here in Newcastle on Sunday, and I'm on the hunt for a Les Paul. It's just me and approximately 1000 guitars (plus a whole array of amps, FX pedals and the likes). Hoo yeah.

We've got a hamfest here in Houston for radio amateurs. I'm hoping to find some old geeky radio stuff. Hopefully I won't drool into it (or at least wait until the drool dries before I plug it in and see if it works!) Hope you find your Les Paul!

I'm an excited bunny right now. There's a guitar show here in Newcastle on Sunday, and I'm on the hunt for a Les Paul. It's just me and approximately 1000 guitars (plus a whole array of amps, FX pedals and the likes). Hoo yeah.

Caveat Emptor: If someone offers to sell you an "Air Guitar", at any price, refuse the deal. I was once suckered in to buying one and I was most disappointed, because when I went looking for "Air Amps", "Air Plectrums", "Air Guitar Straps" and "Air Effect Pedals", there were none to be had and I was mostly treated with derision and scorn by purveyors of supposedly "fine" musical equipment. The guitar was quite nice, though.

I've been a Strat guy for decades, but I love the way Les Pauls sound. I once owned one with a blond neck & fretboard, something I'd not seen before. Beautiful guitar, but traded it in after three days. I tend to spend most of a gig airborne, and it was only a matter of time before that massive chunk of wood dislocated a shoulder. Of course, now that I mostly hang out in the studio... (must restrain urge!) :)
