CodeProject is Dead
-
It's finally happened. CodeProject has become a victim of its own usefulness and popularity. We've been overrun by hordes of purile and moronic trolls. What's the point any more? Chris can't possibly hope to curtail the rampant misuse of the self-submitted article system, and moderating the lounge is opens up a legal can of worms where liability is concerned (on Chris' part). John, the only thing I miss is having you regulary in the Lounge. These days you only ever post to comment negatively. At least back then your staggering layers of obscenity and cutting remarks were fun to read. Sure some people got rubbed up the wrong way by you, but hey we aren't here to make new bum chums are we. Anyway, my 2 cents :)

We love people to say nice things as much as anyone else but we have to be tough about it, so we just joke it off. But it is true that I really don't care when people insult me. I don't need the validation of others like some people do and nobody could come close to matching my mother for verbal demoralisation. Besides, when it comes from you specifically then I know you're kidding. There's nothing wrong with aggressive humour. Stop trying to be so nice. :) [digressing more than I already have] I notice all over the news that the French (specifically Chirac and Gaymard) have managed to really piss Tony Blair off.
