Without visiting the 'supposed' employers site, and probably having to sign up too, (and I ain't gonna do either of those) it is not possible to determine exactly what the scam is. I'm almost certain that it must be one though, if only on the good old 'If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.' principal.

You get paid $5 for every 'link you post onto the internet'. That's what someone said, if you read it all. Even if it is valid, all the 'end the recession' talk is obviously rubbish. Even if it works for 2000 people, it plainly won't scale to 10% of the population. Of course, it's more of a scam than that, but it's at LEAST that much of a scam. Or a pyramid scheme.

Yep I got that but there must be a lot more to it than that, the scam part that is.

I thought pyramid scheme too but again without visiting the site it is difficult, for me at least, to envisage how that might work in this case.

I think they said $15 per link. Sheer bollocks. USD 15 has been worth at least INR 600 in the last 10 years (except for very brief periods) which will even today buy you a meal for one in a three-star hotel in any of India's biggest cities. Even if you eat at an upper-middle class place, breakfast for one will seldom cost more than INR 50.

Ah, OK, I just hit Ctrl+F then searched for 'Tamil' before I replied to Raja's post. I guess I missed out that line altogether the first time around. I suppose they're not able to place my location; it reads

It's still there...Title says "Tamil Nadu Stay At Home Mom Makes $6,875/Month Working From Home". Also the first paragraph starts like "If you live in Tamil Nadu or another qualifying US State and you have been wanting to work from home..."

Like I told Carlo, it's probably unable to figure out my location.

LOL, the fun thing is target audience for this is West Bengal also, apart from US. I am a resident of West Bengal and I wonder how this is possible. In West Bengal ( which is a state of India ) the currentcy is INR and they only talk about $. The person, who mooted this concept is not a person who is bengali ( resident of West Bengal are known as Bengali ). I wonder how "West Bengal" was associate with this !!! :omg: The Greatest SPAM forever to me.

                                          Thanks, Arindam D Tewary
