Why, you soft southern pansy. Those roads aren't in the north. The south starts at Darlington.

Not to be confused with the larger town of Watford :) Luton is south of the Watford Gap :)

Watford Gap? Really? I live in Nuneaton, which I believe is north of Watford Gap, yet in the heart of the Midlands. Definately not in the north.

See Here[^]. I notice 9 of the 10 most dangerous roads are in t'North. I suspect that the roads are not dangerous, it is the fact that Northerners can't drive. After all it has only been a generation since they all work'd int'mill, barefoot, and the only form of transport were a whippet.

The West Midlands is where it's at. We get the best of both worlds close enough to the South to have an emotional side which the ladies love, yet North enough for a hard nut exterior. And luck for me I'm from just far enough away from Birmingham and the Black Country to avoid that god awful accent

On the contrary, roads in the south are safer because they are just carparks. There are whole generations born and died waiting to get to their junction on the M25.

Take away crumple zones, airbags, impact bars, etc. -- in fact, position the driver at the very front, in front of the engine, with only glass for protection -- and suddenly *all* roads will become safe.
