So why is Iraq immunizing their soldiers against nerve gas [^]if there's not going to be a war? Hmmmm. Something's fishy there. :~

The US/UK will attack next year, and if they don't have a good reason by then, then they'll conjur one up. Cynical yes, but mark my words - a second Gulf War war is already an absolute certainty. You may be correct. I put the odds at about 20:1 for avoiding some kind of war. :( However, if (and it is obviously a BIG if) this whole thing works out peacefully and Iraq is disarmed before Saddam can wreak havoc, will any of the current Bush/Blair bashers give them any credit at all? I put the odds at about 1000:1 against. :) Mike Mullikin

To put it as simply as possible: Bush likes oil Sounds rediculous, but that's pretty much all it's been about (for either of the Bushes) oh yeah, "benjymous" is written with a lower case b ;P -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!

benjymous wrote: Bush likes oil This is such a stupid argument. If it was about oil, all Bush had to due was ask for the sanctions to be relaxed on humanitarian grounds. The UN would have done so with glee and he would have gained huge popularity world-wide. Moreover, who's making all this "oil" money? Oil company stocks have gone down regardless of the rumor of the day.

I seem to remember the same bleeding heart euro-centric UN that we hear today demanding that Desert Storm end as soon as Iraq left Kuwait. My choice is not to vote for either which speaks volumes of the candidates AND the process which chose them as the choice. Actually I have never voted in anything serious. Do voting forms have "Neither, they all suck" options?
