How are the posts selected?

It does not seem to be always the case. "Most interesting" is very subjective. CP must have a way to make the selection.

Yes, it is subjective to the guy who wrote the newsletter... :) He might have list of long / highest voted threads, and then he will make final selection.

In the daily email newsletter, there are always two posts at the bottom (Code Project Discussions - Have your say!). Does anyone know the criteria for the selections?

A human being who reads the forums and also creates the newsletter thinks to themselves "self, this looks like a good thread to mention in the daily newsletter" later on that person picks those threads. I mean, that's just a guess but what did you expect some kind of ridiculous software that automatically picks a thread? That would be a classic over engineered unnecessary geeky wank-fest if I ever heard of one. ;)
