In the daily email newsletter, there are always two posts at the bottom (Code Project Discussions - Have your say!). Does anyone know the criteria for the selections?

And then so as to mess with our minds, this post itself is selected. It was definitely the mention of BACON. Tim

I think that the hamsters have a meeting, discuss the merits, or otherwise, of the more recent posts and vote. In the event of ties the 'One potato, Two potato' algorithm is employed.

I've just eaten both potatoes, so that ain't going to work until Chris can get to the grocer. ;P

Not at all. I just happened to need something to go with the cheese and chilli sauce. ;)

They are the two posts that are on top of the lounge when Chris turns on the computer.

A human being who reads the forums and also creates the newsletter thinks to themselves "self, this looks like a good thread to mention in the daily newsletter" later on that person picks those threads. I mean, that's just a guess but what did you expect some kind of ridiculous software that automatically picks a thread? That would be a classic over engineered unnecessary geeky wank-fest if I ever heard of one. ;)

This does seem the most likely explanation.

Just because the code works, it doesn't mean that it is good code.
