Congratulations, Nish. I can honestly say that I knew you when... I'll never forget your childhood, chatting away the nights with us grownups, ocassionally chewing on the mouse - you were teething at the time, I believe. How quickly you grew up! One day playing with your virtual Legos, whining when your warm milk was late, then the next it seemed you'd mastered C++ and MFC. I think Tom may have been helping you with the harder arithmetic calculating pointers and such, but you did a remarkable job of making us all feel like proud parents. Then came the grade school crush on Smitha, and the endless late night talks about all the strange (but perfectly natural) things you dreamed of doing with her in bed, and in the park, and on top that statue of a blue person with too many arms in the park. We all smiled knowingly, remembering the days of our youth when we had similar fantasies, and savoring the memories. Congrats, old friend, and I can hardly wait until you post your prom pictures! ;)

You've only been around a few years longer than I have, but you have 3.3x the post count. Wow. And you were pretty much inactive for a few years - I guess the Indian Lounge really opened the floodgates again. :)

I guess most of those posts would have been posted before you joined. My activity levels have been going down over the years.

Well, ever since Chris asked me to moderate that forum, I've been consciously putting in an effort to keep that forum alive. And personally speaking, living outside India it's really nice to be able to chat on India-specific topics there (whenever I get a chance).

Even more impressive, Vikram, is the fact that, when I first met Nish he had a connection that allowed - at most - 1 kB/sec data rates! An awful lot happened in India between the time Nish got online, and the time you joined the fray. I much admire his persistence, and his patience with an infrastructure that no one would call "state-of-the-art." At the time, I had a data rate of 2 MB/sec, yet he still managed to outpace me. I'm so glad that Nish finally got married - I might have a chance one day of catching up to his post count! :)

Funnily, all of us old Bob's HungOut-ers have gone down in our posting frequency over the years. Some (like Colin and James) have stopped posting completely, which is a pity :sigh:

Congratulations - it looks like I have to up my post count considerably. Perhaps if I start off with some drunken DD ramblings and reply yes and no to a whole raft of posts I'll catch up. Actually, the impressive thing about DDs posting count is that he's achieved it almost entirely in the Lounge.

It's the CCCs. He posts them, and replies personally to everyone who attempts to solve them. It's partly him being nice, and partly a conscious act (knowing what a shrewd bastard he is) :-)

This is my thirty three thousand three hundred and thirty third post on CP. I am the first CPian from the northern hemisphere to cross this major landmark, and the second overall (if you include those weird folks from the bottom of the planet).
