Was just having a look at a job database web site (a local one in the Netherlands[^]). There were 72 jobs for .NET programmers, 70 for java programmers, and 148 for php programmers. I wasn't expecting these ratios to be honest.

The population at the bottom of the food chain is always the biggest. Have you seen how many jobs there are for rocket scientists? :)
