Read the changes, but didn't find the one where you could now turn off the "Run in slow motion" setting. Also couldn't find the "Use fonts that don't look like crap" setting. (Meaning, good old non-truetype/non-cleartype Courier.)

You can manually turn off hardware acceleration in Visual Studio if you think this is impacting you. To do this, choose Tools, Options and turn off the automatic options:

Read the changes, but didn't find the one where you could now turn off the "Run in slow motion" setting. Also couldn't find the "Use fonts that don't look like crap" setting. (Meaning, good old non-truetype/non-cleartype Courier.)

Those options didn't affect peformance at all for me. It still has a slight lack of responsiveness that grows very irritating.

Meh. Your message seems to reflect a belief that we're all waiting with baited breath for the service pack... You didn't fix the stuff I reported last month, and I was told it "wasn't important enough" for a service pack. No bacon for you.

I'm using Windows 7 and VS2010 - why did it just take 10 minutes to open up a small Silverlight 4 project with no other apps running? Is that a graphics issue?

I'm using Windows 7 and VS2010 - why did it just take 10 minutes to open up a small Silverlight 4 project with no other apps running? Is that a graphics issue?

"Slight"? As in, slightly dead? For me VS2010 is hugely unresponsive, starting with the 30 second start-up.

Does it fix the problem where I can't build x86 Winforms applications while running Visual Studio 2010 on my 64bit Windows?

I guess now I can install the VS2010 dvd that has been sitting in my desk for 6+ months. Although with that said even VS2008 SP1 had a few major breakages especially with windows 7 64 bit machines..
